Login Issues and Login Looping

Forgotten Password

If you forget your password and are unable to log into your account, there are several steps you can take:

1. Before contacting TMA149, we urge members to try the password reset link. This link will help you to reset your password so that you may log in securely! https://tma149.ca/reset-password/

2. If you don’t receive the email containing your password reset link, please check all spam and other folders on your email account, as the email may have been filtered from your primary inbox.

Login Loop

If you are experiencing an issue where you log into your account, only to be asked to log back in immediately after, and this process repeats, you are likely experiencing a login loop! This issue can usually be resolved by following the steps below:

  1. Logging in using Incognito/Private browser modes on the browser of your choice may help bypass issues immediately so that you can access your member account. However, this usually points to browser extensions, cookies, or other saved data issues, if it works.
  2. Clearing your cache and cookies is the next best step, as cookie-related issues are some of the most common causes for login looping and website issues.

  3. Are you using any privacy related browser plugins? Try disabling any ad blocking or privacy related extensions and logging in again. There are many extensions on the market that can mistakenly block or delete cookies for sites that they shouldn’t.
  4. Attempt another browser and/or device. If you are no longer experiencing the issue in a new browser, this points to your current browser experiencing issues, which means you may need to look at the above steps again.
  5. The date on your computer is set incorrectly. Account login is done using cookies which are dependent upon the date being set correctly on your computer. Make sure your computer’s date and time are set correctly.
