Matteo Romaniello is a performer and educator from Brampton, Ontario, Canada. He started playing drums at 2 years old. He has studied with some of Canada’s best educators, including Neil LaFortune, Stefan Hegeret, Ben Ball, Marito Marques, Joaquin Nunez Hidalgo, Jeff Salem, and Larnell Lewis. Matteo attended St. Roch Catholic Secondary School’s Regional Arts Program and graduated with high honours. Currently, he is pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree at Humber CollegeMatteo constantly collaborates with artists and musicians across many genres of music. He has performed with pop and rock artists such as SOCAN award nominee Sebastian Gaskin, High Flyer, and LOR. He has also dipped his toes in Canada’s jazz scene with collaborations with Ingrid Jensen, Alex Dean, and George Koller, and the Emmet Hodgins Coast Group. Furthermore, Matteo is not unfamiliar with the country scene in Canada, as he has performed with CCMAO award winners such as Aaron Allen and Mackenzie Leigh Meyer, and Ty Bayton among others.
