Jayemkayem is a club DJ and music producer based in Toronto. She is known for her bass-heavy hybrid sets that float effortlessly across the musical spectrum of UK Garage, Bass House, Breaks, Global Club and more.
She has performed at several of Canada’s most important electronic music festivals including Piknic Électronik, VELD Music Festival, Badlands Music Festival and Electric Island. She is an official Apple Music mix curator, creating a monthly mix of high energy club music for the platform, and has also made appearances on Boiler Room, Rinse FM, and NTS, among others.
Last year, Jayem released her first original music as half of production duo Chinese Spy Balloon with her partner Freeza Chin; Juno Records called their first EP a “handsome bounty of smooth, futuristic and forward-thinking UKG.”
Her debut solo EP, Laptronica, will be released in fall 2024.
