Ayla Rodney is a remarkable vocalist hailing from Toronto, Canada. She honed her musical skills at the Ontario Conservatory of Music before attending the Nancy Campbell Collegiate Institute, a private performing arts school in Stratford, Ontario, where she completed her high school education.
Ayla’s passion for singing was sparked by legendary artists like Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Deborah Cox, and Mariah Carey. However, it was during her high school showcases that she truly discovered her gift for singing and performing. Her talent allowed her to connect with audiences on a deep, emotional level, evoking nostalgic and powerful responses.
She began her performing career at small venues and events around Stratford, Ontario. As her reputation grew, she started booking more significant events and weddings across the west end of Ontario. Despite societal and parental pressures leading her to take a break from music to attend university, where she pursued a double BA Degree in Sociology and English, Ayla returned to her true passion in 2011.
Driven by an unexplainable urge and a deep-seated passion for music, Ayla took a leap of faith to pursue a career in music. Her international journey began with a one-year contract in Beijing, China, fronting a seven-piece international cover band. This opportunity, combined with Ayla’s magnetic personality and exceptional vocal talent, opened many doors and led to further musical experiences in East Asia over the next five years.
After returning to Toronto in 2016, Ayla made a name for herself in the local music scene. She now works with the top wedding and special event bands, in addition to performing her own solo and and small band shows.
Ayla’s musical style and repertoire are vast, allowing her to sing virtually anything. Not only is she a top vocalist, but she is also an extraordinary entertainer, engaging with the crowd and clients to create unforgettable, personalized experiences.
