Biography:
Maiko Munroe is a Guyanese born award-winning vocalist and songwriter based in Toronto, Canada. She earned her first moment in the spotlight while still in her teens, beating out thousands of young women to become a member of pop/r&b group Sugar Jones. Their debut album went platinum and had two top ten singles on the Canadian Charts. She’s also a two-time Western Canadian music award winner for best Urban Album. She has travelled the globe as a performer, and been cast in numerous musical theatre productions over the years. Despite being versatile in genre, Maiko brings a soulfulness to every performance.
