Greg O’Toole is a New Brunswick-born, Toronto-based, Canadian guitar player and instrumental song writer. Over the last 15 years, he has played, recorded, or toured with more than a dozen bands with genres spanning from folk, to pop, to post-rock.
Greg’s guitar playing style has been described as lush and euphoric with a touch of dissonance – often sounding like it’s coming from the bottom of an ocean in outer space – involving ethereal layers of improvised melody over pulsing swells of tonal harmonies. His solo project, Yesterday Today Tomorrow (YTT), is mainly instrumental music which features themes of finding truth and love, and aims to achieve a feeling of peacefulness in an often challenging world of stress and unrest.
Currently, Greg is a main band member and songwriting collaborator with songwriter-producer-engineer, Mike Legere, and a session guitar player with Toronto singer-songwriter and mulit instrumentalist, Dante Matas.
