Biography:

Andrew Mendis is a 21 year old trumpet player from Markham, Ontario. He is currently attending the University of Toronto and is completing a Bachelor of Music. Andrew has also previously attended the Glenn Gould School at the Royal Conservatory and has performed with various ensembles in the GTA, including the Royal Conservatory Orchestra, the University of Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the Hannaford Youth Band, the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra, the Etobicoke Philharmonic Orchestra, the Mississauga Symphony, as well as the Ontario Philharmonic Orchestra as a guest principal trumpet. He was also a member of the National Youth Orchestra during the 2021 season. Andrew hopes to win an audition for a professional orchestra in the near future.
