My name is Karla, I am originally from Castro, a beautiful town on the Chilean island of Chiloé, and I am a Toronto-based classical guitar performer, multi- instrumentalist, producer and teacher.

In my career as music performer, I had played in different projects and stages. In 2022 I was invited to perform as a soloist with the Ontario Pops Orchestra “Adagio” from Concierto de Aranjuez by Joaquín Rodrigo at North York Meridian Hall as well as being invited to perform at the musical “SIX” as a bass player. As you can see my experience is not just as a classical guitar player. Since 2017 I started to produce electronic music and I had released 3 singles of my own music.

In 2020 I founded “Island of Music School” which is an online music platform that offers online live lessons of different instruments.

I had participated in many guitar festivals and concerts across North and South America. In 2010 I was was named “Best Performer” at the César Cortinas Guitar Contest (Atlántida, Uruguay). I also had taught master classes at Festival Entrecuerdas, one of the largest guitar festivals in South America, and I had shared the stage with prestigious artists from Norway, Italy, Portugal and Canada.
