Biography:

Born in Nigeria, raised in the Middle East and currently residing in Toronto – Bouff’s musical approach is refined by his transient upbringing and is honed in on an idiosyncratic take on the ever-growing genre of Afro-fusion while highlighting his unapologetic bravado. Since his debut in 2020, Bouff has built a discography that showcases a contemporary interpretation of traditional Afrobeats, infused with elements of his Western influences. This is characterized by resonant basslines, relatable lyrics, and lively melodic hooks.
In a city known for its distinctive sound, Bouff sits at a table of his own, a quality evident in his debut EP “Summer Nights Interlude” released in September of 2021, which received acclaim from respected publications like New Wave Magazine and Replay Nigeria. His sophomore effort, “Best Out West,” released in August 2022, also garnered positive reviews from LinkupTV and SideDoor Magazine.

On September 20th, 2023, Bouff unveiled his third project “To Cry & Bounce,” which quickly climbed to #1 on iTunes and secured the 35th spot on Apple Music’s Album chart. Amassing over 60,000 first-day streams, “Bouff Daddy” – the highlight single off the EP charted #1 on iTunes, while “Jiggaban” charted #150 landing him a spot on the Global Digital Artist rankings. In addition to his solo work, Bouff was recruited to work on the soundtracks of Director X’s “Robyn Hood” and Paramount’s “Cross” television series. He is currently directing his creative energy towards his fourth EP project, slated for a 2024 release.

Bouff has graced numerous stages alongside established artists like Burna Boy, Omah Lay, Fally Ipupa, B Young, WSTRN, and Prettyboy D-O. Throughout his journey, he’s been fervent in acknowledging the influences that have shaped his sound, paying tribute to figures like Burna Boy, J Hus, and Western legends such as 50 Cent and the late Michael Jackson. In just three years of actively pursuing his musical career, Bouff has experienced remarkable growth, accumulating over four million streams across all platforms and captivating fans worldwide. This makes him one of the most promising artists of this decade.
