TMA149 Members

Originally from California, Ken Kagawa studied at the Manhattan School of Music for two years before attending Glenn Gould School. In 2023, he spent his summer performing music at the PRISMA festival and the Aspen Music Festival, where he won the Aspen concerto competition. He also won MSM’s concerto competition with the Tomasi trombone concerto. In 2019, he was a National YoungArts finalist, where he performed new music in the New World Center. He has studied with Colin Williams, Per Brevig, and Nick Platoff.
