Leah Chae is a talented bassist born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. She was introduced to the instrument at 14 and has since continued to express her love for music and performance. As a York University jazz program alumni, her work with esteemed musicians has allowed her to diversify her musicality and gain valuable industry skills. In 2020, the university awarded her the reputable Oscar Peterson Scholarship for demonstrating exceptional musical abilities. She was fortunate to study with Sunder Viswanathan, Mike Cado, Corey Bulter, and many more.

Leah is known for her extraordinary versatility in performance and ensures originality in every project she takes on. She enjoys exploring genres outside traditional jazz such as R&B, gospel, funk, and world music. As she continues to play around the Greater Toronto Area, she aspires to contribute and be inspired by the music community while making her mark in the music scene.
