From Eastern Canada, Hanna is a freelance trombonist currently based in Toronto. She recently graduated with high distinction from the University of Toronto with a Master’s in Instrumental Performance. Before her Master’s, Hanna received her Bachelor of Music with a Minor in English from Mount Allison University. She is the recipient of many awards for both performance and academics. Most recently, she received the New Brunswick Arts Council Classical Music Scholarship, the Ina Mitton Prize for Excellence in Winds and Brass, and is the two-time winner of the prestigious Mary McKean Scholarship. She has also demonstrated her abilities as a researcher and writer through an Independent Student Research Grant and by winning the coveted Canadian Graduate Scholarship (SSHRC) in 2020.
