Parker Olson is originally from Atlanta, Georgia and will assume the role of Principal Percussionist of the Billings Symphony for 2023-24 Season. He has performed with the New World Symphony, Boston Philharmonic, Boston Civic Symphony, and is also a passionate educator. He has taught private students and masterclasses at the NEC Preparatory School and Natick Public Schools outside of Boston. He was a student of Will Hudgins, Dan Bauch, and Matt McKay of the Boston Symphony at the New England Conservatory for his Bachelor’s and Master’s in Percussion Performance, and will be pursuing his Artist Diploma at the Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory this year studying with Charles Settle of the Toronto Symphony.
