With a sound that seamlessly blends folk-rock and modern soul, there’s something for every music fan to love about singer/songwriter Matt Zaddy. A storyteller at heart, Matt’s music speaks to the soul, with tales of life, love, hardship, and redemption. As someone who has shared stages with a diverse array of artists including K’Naan, pop star Francesco Yates, CanRock legends Tom Cochrane and Jim Cuddy, The Trews and Cowboy Junkies, Matt Zaddy’s intention is to connect with as many listeners as possible, regardless of any genre restrictions. Matt’s music certainly possesses everything to achieve that goal in a big way, and to place Matt Zaddy squarely in the conversation about Canada’s most promising singer/songwriters.
Matt is presently promoting his new single ‘What Comes Around’, released in June 2023 as a follow up his award winning 2019 album ‘Be’, with Canadian touring in support of the release. This song was added to 400 Spotify Playlists and has 115k YouTube views between the official and acoustic video.
Outside of his original music, Matt operates as Music educator in 7 disciplines (guitar, bass, voice, piano, ukulele, theory, songwriting), and frequently speaks at music education events and conferences on arts entrepreneurship, live streaming, motivational speaking and many other topics.
