Chinese-Canadian violinist Jasmine (Mengjia) Lin is an avid solo, chamber, and orchestral musician. As 1st laureate of the Kocian International Violin Competition, Jasmine performed with the Czech Chamber Philharmonic Pardubice and at festivals such as the Mlada Praha Festival and Music Niagara. Jasmine has recently collaborated with classical artists Jinjoo Cho and Ettore Causa, and jazz trombonist Steve Turre. Jasmine has been a fellowship student at Gstaad Menuhin Academy, Kneisel Hall, Aspen Music Festival. Passionate about community outreach, Jasmine was recipient of the Gluck Community Service Fellowship at Juilliard for three years. Through the program, she brought interdisciplinary performances with actors and dancers to various healthcare and psychiatric wards throughout New York City. An alumna of the Taylor Academy, Jasmine studied with Atis Bankas and later continued her studies at the Juilliard School under the tutelage of Masao Kawasaki. She is currently studying with Sylvia Rosenberg and Nicholas Mann.
