San Rim is a 23 year old cellist pursuing his undergraduate studies in Cello Performance at the University of Toronto with Professor Joseph Johnson. San is a proud recipient of the Lorand Fenyves String Scholarship and Felix Galimir Chamber Music Award from the University of Toronto. He is also a graduate of the Phil and Eli Taylor Performance Academy at the Royal Conservatory of Music. San has participated in the National Youth Orchestra of Canada for 2 summers in 2017 and 2018. Thanks to these opportunities he has been able to perform at various concert halls in Germany and Scotland as well as the entirety of Canada. San is a two time fellow of the Colorado College Summer Music Festival and also an alumni of the Toronto Summer Music Chamber Music Institute. In his spare time, San enjoys working at Milou, a french bistro in the heart of downtown Toronto, to support his studies and career. San plays a Giulio Di. Eugenio Degani Cello from 1911 on loan from a generous private benefactor.

San Rim est un violoncelliste de 23 ans qui poursuit ses études de violoncelle à l’Université de Toronto avec le professeur Joseph Johnson. San est un fier récipiendaire de la bourse Lorand Fenyves pour cordes et du prix Felix Galimir de musique de chambre de l’Université de Toronto. Il est également diplômé de la Phil and Eli Taylor Performance Academy du Royal Conservatory of Music. San a participé à l’Orchestre National des Jeunes du Canada pendant 2 étés en 2017 et 2018. Grâce à ces opportunités, il a pu s’effectuer dans diverses salles de concert en Allemagne et en Écosse ainsi que dans l’ensemble du Canada. San est membre à deux reprises du Colorado College Summer Music Festival et également ancien élève du Toronto Summer Music Chamber Music Institute. Dans ses temps libres, San aime travailler au Milou, un bistro français au cœur du centre-ville de Toronto, pour soutenir ses études et sa carrière. San joue un Giulio Di. Eugenio Degani Violoncelle de 1911 prêté par un généreux bienfaiteur privé.
