Kayee is the alias of Carol Mak, an artist, producer and songwriter from Toronto, Canada. Her music has been broadcast on national Canadian radio and television, notably her song “Bruises” which won Best Lyrics Award on Fairchild Radio’s SongQuest 2020. An alum of the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Music, Carol’s compositions have been premiered in Toronto by the endeared Gryphon Trio, and Concreamus Choir. After receiving her Masters in Songwriting and Production from Berklee NYC, Carol moved to LA to pursue a career in songwriting, collaborating with artists from all over the world. In the past year alone, Kayee has written/produced for artists of many genres including pop, Kpop, rock, folk, r&b, and hip-hop. She is currently attending a year-long songwriting & production program mentored under grammy-award winning producers Stargate, where she continues to build her catalog.
