First prize winner of the 2018 OSM Manulife Competition, harpist Clara Wang has performed in some of the world’s most prestigious venues, from Montreal’s La Maison Symphonique to Taiwan’s Eslite Performance Hall. Memorable moments in her career include opening the 2015 Taiwan Harp Festival and the 12th World Harp Congress’s Focus on Youth Program in Sydney, Australia. At the OSM Manulife Competition, she was also the recipient of the Banff Arts Centre and Schulich School of Music prizes. She traveled across Canada with the 2017 National Youth Orchestra of Canada as an Award of Excellence recipient. Clara has been involved in numerous masterclasses led by artists such as Sasha Boldachev, Marie-Pierre Langlamet, and Emmanuel Ceysson. She completed a Bachelor of Music (Honours) studying with Judy Loman from The Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto under full scholarship through the generosity of The Elizabeth A. and Richard J. Currie Scholarship.
