Biography:
Tai Yokomori started studying the oboe at the age of sixteen. He completed his Bachelors at McGill under the tutelage of Theodore Baskin. He spent the summer of 2022 with the National Youth Orchestra of Canada, touring Eastern/Central Canada. Tai was a finalist for the Medici International Music Competition as well as the King’s Peak International Competition in 2021. He has received additional guidance from Eugene Izotov, Frank Rosenwein, Alex Klein, and Nathan Hughes. He is now studying at the Glenn Gould School under full scholarship with Sarah Jeffrey.
