Connor Crone is a Toronto-based Double Bassist, Electric Bassist, and Guitarist, recently finishing a Masters of Double Bass Performance at the University of Toronto under Tony Flynt. He has extensive experience in orchestral, chamber, and solo settings across multiple eras and genres of music, and while his performance practice focuses on contemporary western art music and electro-acoustic music. He is also well versed in classical settings, as well as pop, folk, and bluegrass. As a teacher and tutor his focus is on developing and strengthening musical skills and finding ways to connect them to other aspects of musicality, whether that be theory, score study, or performance! He’s also passionate about developing strong practice skills, so that students can find ways to improve their efficiency and enjoyment in the practice room.
