Luke is a bass trombonist from Toronto, with classical training from the Glenn Gould School (ADP, 2023) and Western University (BMus, 2020). Upon graduating from Western University, Luke received the University of Western Ontario Gold Medal. At the Glenn Gould School, Luke received two full scholarships: The Ihnatowycz Emerging Artists Scholarships and The Allan Kimberley and Pam Spackman Scholarship.

Professionally, Luke continues to perform with orchestras in and around Toronto, including the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Conservatory Orchestra, Hamilton Philharmonic, and the Ontario Pops Orchestra among others. He recently participated in the NYO Canada national 2023 Aurora tour. Luke also expands his musical reach as one part of the Peter Karle Combo, a jazz collective from London Ontario known for their creative arrangements of popular rock albums performed live in concert. The Peter Karle Combo most recently sold-out Aeolian Hall in 2023 and are set to perform again in January 2024 with their show “Everything In Its Right Place: A Jazz Tribute to Radiohead”.

Alongside performing, Luke also teaches a studio of young and enthusiastic trombone students enrolled in Toronto-based private schools including the Toronto Waldorf School, the University of Toronto Schools, Bayview Glen, and the Royal St. George’s College.
