kintaro is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer from Toronto, Canada. He is a founding member of alt-folk band Birds of Bellwoods, and has collaborated with many Toronto-based artists. Growing up in an artistic household, kintaro began studying music at a young age at Claude Watson School for the Arts. He pursued his interest, going on to receive his BMus in Jazz Bass from McGill University. In the wake of his father’s passing in 2018 he felt the ephemeral nature of life more than ever, driving him to work on his solo material. He is set to release his debut EP in the fall of 2021.
