CYNDI RICHARDS
Actor, Singer / Songwriter
Artist / Author
Co-Owner: SOUNDHOUSE RECORDING STUDIO
Cyndi has always been surrounded by and been involved in the artistic world inspired by her
mother, Billie Mae Richards, voice of Rudolph in the 1964 classic with Burl Ives, plus various
character voices such as: Tenderheart and Raccoon in “The Care Bears Movie” with Mickey
Rooney. Her father, Bill Richards, was a well known and respected, Toronto jazz violinist who
lead the Toronto Musicians Union for many years and was musical director for such artists as
Anne Murray, Tommy Hunter and had his own show broadcasting on the CBC.
Acting was her first arena and then singing and songwriting became part of her life. A life and
career she has now shared with husband, John Jamieson, as co-owner of Soundhouse
Studio for over 25 years.
As an artist and author, Cyndi has 3 books she is currently finalizing for publication.
