Biography:
Known as “Canada’s Sweetheart of Swing,” Alex Pangman specializes in singing the music of the 1920s, 30s and 40s. She was nominated for a JUNO in vocal jazz and has toured widely and with great sidemen such as John MacLeod, Bucky Pizzarelli, Chris Whitely, Drew Jurecka, Peter Hill, Jeff Healey, John Royen and many more. Her two bands are Alex Pangman’s Alleycats, and Her Hot 2/3. She also performs some early honky tonk music with Colonel Tom Parker. She is an inductee on the Mississauga Music Walk of Fame.
