Dr. ALAN SHINER BIO
Acclaimed musician, music director, songwriter, producer and dentist. ALAN SHINER has worked in Toronto, New York, Nashville, London, Chicago and Los Angeles, both onstage and in the studio, with such celebrated artists as Mariah Carey, Drake, Neo, David Foster, Kanye West, Pitbull, Beyonce, The Pointer Sisters, Boz Scaggs, Paul Anka, Martin Short, Paul Shaffer, Anne Murray and even the late George Burns.
As head of his company TOYHOUSE MEDIA CREATIONS, he has penned such award-winning jingles as “967-11-11”, “Everyone Loves Marineland”, “African Lion Safari”, “Sleep Country Canada”, “Sunwing.CA”, It’s Always Coca Cola, Air Canada, Sleemans, Petro Canada, Cadillac & KFC.
Alan also composed the new songs and score for the theatrical adaptation of “You Don’t Have To Be Jewish” (starring Jamie Farr), the theme for “Unique Lives & Experiences” and the Olympic anthem “Voyage of a Lifetime”.
He is the co-writer of such worldwide hit classics as “It’s Raining Men”, which has been recorded by numerous pop and soul singers.
Alan continues to receive accolades with his band THE NOVA SOUNDS when they perform regularly at corporate & private events, galas and clubs. After thousands of engagements, they are still recognized by Toronto Life Magazine as “The Best of the City”.
He is Creative Director & Producer of Nova Sounds Entertainment, as well as co-founder, Creative Director & Producer of COLLAGE WEDDINGS & The PowZone.
