Born in Montreal, studied electric bass and played w/ french Folk Rock artists during the seventies. Moved to Toronto in 81′, discovered polyrhythms thanks to Santana and switched to percussion.
He plays congas, bongos, cajon, tar & daf and other frame drums, dumbek, darabuka and udu drum and various hand percussion.
Studied West African percussion w/ Kwazi Dunyo at U of Toronto, w/ Babatunde Oluntanji of Santana fame.
Attended workshops and master classes w/ Alex Acuna (Weather Report) and Glen Valez (Pat Metheny).
Played on dozens of recordings of various artists ranging from Folk to RnB to Funk to Arabic and African and even Neo-Classical, and playing live in the clubs, cafes and festival circuits such as Hillside and many other venues.
