The Dan Bodanis Band has a very rich history of creating live Jazz for everyone from Miss Universe and the Rogers Cup International Tennis Tournament, to being the official Jazz Band of the ‘Toronto G – 20 Summit.’

Band members have been acknowledged internationally with Grammy Awards; nationally, with Juno Awards, and certain members of the Dan Bodanis Band have been awarded the Order of Canada.

Members of the Dan Bodanis Band have performed with the finest musical talent on the planet, including: Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Oscar Peterson, Chick Corea, Dave Weckl Band, Pat Methany, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Gary Meek, Airto & Flora Purim, Chuck Mangione, Santana, Toto, Lighthouse, K.C. & the Sunshine Band, Mel Torme, The Boss Brass, Moe Koffman, Chet Baker, Count Basie, and many more!

The Dan Bodanis Band also holds the distinction of performing at the longest running Jazz engagement in Canadian history, according to the Toronto Musicians Association Executive Director, Jim Biros – where they performed with many guest stars, including the founding father of the West Coast Jazz Movement, Lee Konitz; Oscar Winning Actress, Olympia Dukakis; KC and the Sunshine Band, several other Stars.

During the midst of the Pandemic, inspired by the music of Frank Sinatra Live at the Sands, featuring the Count Basie Orchestra, under the Musical Direction of Quincy Jones, in June of 2020, Dan Bodanis formed the ‘Dan Bodanis Big Band,’ an 18 Piece Big Band. In addition to performing the authentic Sinatra arrangements from that period, the ‘DBBB,’ also performs the latest, most challenging arrangements from today’s finest Big Band Arrangers, like: Gordon Goodwin, Randy Waldman, Chris Byers, and more!
