Ellis Yuen-Rapati is a Toronto-based violist. He began studying music at age four with Yvonne DeRoller, and continued at McGill University with André Roy. During Yuen-Rapati’s six summers with the National Youth Orchestra of Canada, he worked with Michael Francis, Cho-Liang Lin, and the Gryphon Trio. A Dartmouth, Nova Scotia native, Yuen-Rapati has performed at venues across Canada and Europe, including the Konzerthaus in Berlin, Usher Hall in Edinburgh, Ruínas do Carmo in Lisbon, and Iqaluit, Nunavut. Yuen-Rapati recently completed his Artist Diploma from the Glenn Gould School of Music under Steven Dann , and is currently an NYOC ambassador.
