Romano has spent the past 11 years playing 8 shows a week for over a million people both as a drummer and percussionist with the national tour of Wicked and recently the past four years as original company member in Come From Away on Broadway.

Originally from Newfoundland, Romano has played professionally since the age of 13. He completed a B.Mus with honours from Memorial University of Newfoundland and a M.Mus from McGill University while also attending a semester at Guildhall Conservatory in London.

After his studies, Romano spent a decade in Toronto as a freelance percussionist, earning a Dora nomination in music his first year with the theatrical production of Boxhead. While in Toronto, Romano playied mostly with the Canadian Opera Company, Toronto Symphony, Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, Evergreen Gamelan and was in demand as a dance accompanist holding residency at the School of Toronto Dance Theatre.
