Canadian-Portuguese horn player, Olivia Esther has been praised for “…playing with fearless conviction.” (Winnipeg Free Press). Olivia is sought after as a performer, recording artist, producer, composer, and educator having worked with many of Canada’s finest arts organisations, orchestras and presenters including Canadian Opera Company, National Ballet Orchestra, Winnipeg Symphony, Symphony Nova Scotia, Festival of the Sound, Toronto Jazz Festival, Drayton Entertainment and Mirvish Productions. Olivia’s latest projects include the artistic collaboration with CBC producer emeritus and composer, David Jaeger, producing the festive quartet, Holiday Horns, leading her own World Music/ Jazz group, The Olivia Esther Quintet, and producing community outreach with her pro-am horn ensemble, Sonic Horn Revolution. Ms. Esther has been a member of the brass faculty at The Royal Conservatory of Music since 2016.
